Visualization and archiving of historical data

SMHistory is part of the SMLogix development environment for managing archived data.

SMHistory help you to storage data and visualize it in the form of historical graphs, create reports on events and sensor readings, download them to PC. Separate archivers are no longer needed, our controller will handle this on its own.

Using SMHistory you can:

Archive data by the controller without using additional devices;
Upload data to external media in the universal CSV format;
Display data in the form of historical graphs for any period of time.

What is SMHistory?

Trends

Visualization of historical data in the form of trends for an arbitrary period of time

Reports

Transfer of historical data to
a PC in CSV format via FTP or USB flash drive.

History

Sensor readings are stored together with events.
For example, the data storage depth for 5 parameters of the Real type will be more than 2 years when recording 1 time per minute.

Trends

Up to 16 pens per graph, sampling point display;
Scaling charts and moving around the chart with gestures;
Graph analysis tools, rulers,
turning off and on pens during work;
Generate a report from the displayed area of the
"historical chart".

Reports

Ample opportunities for data conversion when outputting to a report;
Preview and manage reports;
Output to reports of preset and historical data;
Location of data in the built-in memory
controller or external media.

History

Three ways of recording data: periodic, conditional,
when the value is outside the specified range;
Selection of historical data by time and value and their
built-in processing;

How it works

The basis of the archiving system is the HISTORY FBD block. It manages the collection and processing of data. Add this block to the clearing and determine which events should be recorded and what data should be taken into account. Assign the type of record: by condition, periodically or depending on the parameter change.

To work with trends in the SMArt module, set the Historical Graph screen element. Define for it the type and number of feathers, their parameters; set the display scale and other settings.

In SMLogix, using the Archive Configurator tool, select where the archive and other necessary archiving parameters will be stored.

To use the capabilities of SMHistory, you will need a Segnetics programmable controller with Linux support (Trim5, SMH4 или Matrix) and the SMLogix development environment version 3.30 and older.

After installing SMLogix 3.30 or later, update the controller firmware!
