Idea Evolution of Panel Controller
The Segnetics SMH2G Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is an affordable panel controller with the ability to flexibly increase functionality: from the operator panel to the PLC with a large number of digital and analog inputs / outputs.
The SMH2G controller is a further development of the idea of a controller with advanced HMI used as an operator panel inherent in SMH2010. SMH2G PLC is built on a modular principle: if necessary, communication channels and inputs/outputs are expanded by using additional expansion modules. You can add analog inputs / outputs, as well as increase the number of discrete ones, by using the expansion modules MC and MR.
Graphic display allows you to present graphics, create functional and attractive user interfaces. Create them - quickly and conveniently - using the software package MS Art.

SMH2G is the second generation of SMH2010 panel controllers
Modularity has been added to high integration. This provides additional flexibility in the design of automation systems. Modularity applies primarily to communication channels and input / output channels. SMH2G has built-in COM ports RS-485 and RS-232. Additionally, you can install the Ethernet PNA communication module or the LonWorks PNA module (NETcard technology).

Without an MC module with universal and accurate measuring channels (UHAM technology), the SMH2G is cost-effective to use as an operator panel. If necessary, I/O resources can be increased by using MR expansion modules (SCALIO technology).

The second generation SMH has a monochrome graphic display. Display resolution allows you to create clear and attractive interfaces. Graphics are "drawn" using Adobe Flash technology. he display is integrated into the controller and the exchange is carried out through the internal data stream, and not through external tags. Debugging projects using HMI elements is much simpler and faster. This is especially noticeable during remote debugging. Additional facilities can be created using programmable LEDs and an audio signal.

The processor used in the controller is Atmega256 with increased memory capacity. Thanks to it, the SMH2G implements a system mode that facilitates commissioning.
