High-speed system bus: MTBus

Distributed control systems are widely used in the practice of building automated process control systems. Well – known problems of such systems are communication delays and errors that they can broadcast. The high-speed MTbus solves these problems:

  • It is easy to organize a large number of I/o channels.
  • It has high speed. The system bus uses special algorithms to perform synchronization and configuration on itself.

The MTBus system is supported on the following Segnetics devices:
Trim 5
Контроллер Trim 5
Matrix
Matrix controller
SMH4
SMH4 - 1011-0-0 modification controller
FMR
FMR universal expansion

MRL

High-speed system bus

Thanks to MTBus: you can additionally connect up to 244 FMR modules to the Matrix PLC. This is approximately 7,500 discrete inputs/outputs. Due to the high speed of the MTBus bus, it became possible to query modules synchronously with the main program, i.e. in the system cycle. At the same time, address assignment is automated, and special diagnostic and error handling procedures are implemented.

Based on the MTBus bus, it is easy to build a system that will work as a single controller and eliminate the disadvantages of a distributed system.

MTBus has advantages over traditional networks:
  1. It does not require configuring network parameters for each device. Devices are addressed automatically when the power is turned on.
  2. It provides minimal mismatch in the DIN polling time, and the installation of DOUT and AOUT by different modules.
  3. It provides an optimal AIN polling cycle without causing unnecessary traffic in the system bus.
  4. It controls a communication error. Errors can be read in the memory card of the base module.
  5. It exchanges at high speed: more than 2500 I/O* will be processed in 50 MS (with communication lines up to 2.3 km long).

Using the MTBus system, you get an extremely stable control system: easy to set up and maintain.
